What the Town Council does

Epping Town Council provides facilities for residents of the town and maintains public assets for the benefit of residents and visitors alike.

The Town manages:

The Monday Market
Epping Cemetery
Epping Hall
The Jack Silley Pavilion
Stonards Hill Recreation Ground
Ivy Chimneys Recreation Ground
Lower Swaines Recreation Ground
Frampton Rd Recreation Ground
Brook Rd Recreation Ground
Parklands Play Area (Coopersale)
Bakers Lane Public Toilets

We organise the Town Show, Christmas Market and Christmas Lights (in partnership with Epping Rotary) and provide financial grants to local organisations.

The Town Council also maintains the War Memorial, Town Signs, finger sign posts, bus shelters, notice boards, benches on the Town Greens and elsewhere and maintains the Town Greens and other open spaces around the town.

We are a statutory consultee for Planning, Highways and other matters affecting the Town. The Council considers and comments on every planning application affecting the town and represents the views of residents to the District and County Councils
